Tibet Lhasa, Shigatse, Mt.Everest 10 Days Tour

Qinghai-Tibetan platear is known as the world Roof ,the third Pole of the Globe, it is the original place of many big rivers in China. Qinghai-Tibetan railways is about 1142Km long, 960Km of which runs on the highland of more than 4,000m and 550km of it passes across the all year round frozen earth.

Day 1: Chengdu-Lhasa Overnight at sleeper
Depart from Chengdu by train (T222) and cross Qinling Mountain, the division between North China and South China.

Day 2: On the Train Overnight at sleeper
Train on across Yellow Earth Plateau.

Day 3: Arrival at Lhasa Overnight at hotel
Train on across Qinghai-Tibet Plateau via Tanggula Mountain Pass(5072m) and reach Lhasa in the evening.Pick-up and check-in at hotel.

Day 4:Lhasa Sightseeing Overnight at hotel
Guided sightseeing of Potala Palace, Jokhang Temple and Barkhor Street.

Day 5:Lhasa - Yamdrok Yumtso Lake-Shigatse Overnight at hotel
Some 380km ride by TOYOTA 4WD to Xigatze via Mt. Gangbala,Yamdrok Yumtso Lake and Gyantze. Visits to Pelko Chode and Tashilhunpo.

Day 6:Shigatse - Lhatse - Dhingri (Xiegeer Town) Overnight at guesthouse
Some 320km ride to Xiegeer via Sakya Monastery Gyamtso La Mountain Pass(5200m).

Day 7: Xiegeer Town - Mt. Everest Nature Reserve Overnight at hotel
120km ride to Rongbuk Monastery(5200m) and trek or cartride to Base Camp of Mt Everest. Overnight at guesthouse.

Day 8: Rongbuk Monastery - Dhingri -Shigatse Overnight at hotel
Ride back to Shigatze.

Day9: Shigatse-Yangparchen-Lhasa Overnight at hotel

Day 10:Lhasa-Chengdu Tour End
Take the plane back to Chengdu, end tour.

Cost included
1.Transportation: One-way train ticket hard sleeper, one-way airfare Lhasa-Chengdu together with the air tax and fuel tax, private Toyota Land Cruiser 4500 Or same kind Jeep(Van like Toyota Haice or tour bus may be used from Lhasa to Shigatse for joint group since there are more passengers from Lhsa to Shigatse.)
2. Tour guide: Local Chinese-speaking tour guide.
3. Accommodation: 3 star hotel or simimilar class, but , accommodation is very pool at Xiegeer town and Rhongbuk monastery usually several persons share a room without seperate bathroom.
4. Sightseeing ticket: All the entrance fee on the itinerary

7. Travel permit in Tibet, Only for this itinerary.

We are strongly against the kid��s participation of this tour because of the high altitude.

2. Minor program changes sometimes are necessary, depending on road conditions, weather and availability of room.

Prices listed above are valid excluding the periods of Chinese and Tibetan New Year, May day holiday, China National Day holiday ,Tibetan Shoton Festival and other important Festival in Tibet which cause the big tour price change, an enquiry would be necessary for the exact tour price if you happened to travel during these periods.
4. The joint group will go to fixed souvenir shops, while the private group can avoid this subject to your decision.
5. Health consultation from your doctor before you come to highland(Over 3000M).
6. As we travel in Tibet area where the economy is much more backward than other places, the food alternative is limited,so we suggest you order food in local restaurants available yourself or take some solid food.Most of local restaurant can only offer the simple Sichuan and Tibetan dishes.
7. All the passengers can buy the ticket from Chengdu/chongqing directly to Lhasa but they have to get down the train at Xi"ning train station and then transfer to another train from Xi"ning to Lhasa.The officials and staff of the train station will lead the passengers to the train and all the passengers will have the same seat or sleeper number.
